RECORD-BREAKING!!!!

Pics with Santa at our neighborhood Christmas Party, the boys told Santa what they wanted for Christmas, ate a dozen Christmas cookies, and helped decorate the Christmas tree at the park.

Ty,the boys, and I went to Town Square to do some shopping. In an attempt to gain some Christmas Spirit we stuck around for "Snow at the Square" where every night at 7pm they make fake snow and blow it out of the trees by a great big Christmas tree. It was pretty cool, kids were going crazy jumping around and yelling. T, unfortunately had to be woken up out of the stroller for the festivities, he did not really get that much happier than he looked in the picutre.

So we were totally okay with having to visit Town Square for their "fake snow show" but apparently mother nature had different plans. The boys and I ran errands this morning and around noon noticed a few snow flurries. Six hours later we had eight inches of snow at our house. We set a record for snow here, apparently I brought a little of Idaho with me. I don't think the people here were that impressed, over 3,400 cars involved in accidents this afternoon, the roads were really bad considering there is not one snow plow in the valley. It was chaos, probably similar to, say, the whole state being without power for six weeks.

The boys and I delivered some of Deb's favorite cinnamon rolls tonight. Turns out T's a huge fan of the snow. He made snow angels, a "Frosty", and snowballs of which he kept throwing at those out walking enjoying the snow.

Here is how much P enjoyed the snow... Ty's at school but I'm sure he feels the same way.

FUN WITH THE FAM!!!!!!!

We played for a whole day on the strip. We went to the Shark Reef and some even pet the baby sting rays. We pretty much toured the strip from the south to the north. The braver and non-pregnant of us rode the New York New York roller coaster and we all made the trek to the Bellagio Fountain Show and the Treasure Island Pirate Show. Let me just say one thing, the pirate show has surely evolved to suit a more adult audience. If you catch my drift.

We played at the District, riding the carousel and eating on cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory....

We played at home building forts and at the park spinning in tea cups....

We had so much fun at the pool!!! We swam almost every night.

We also had a ton of fun at the Hoover Dam and the men got plenty of riding time on the cycles. All-in-all, even though we barely survived the strip, we lived to tell about it and had a lot of fun.

Side Yard Extravaganza!!!!!!!

So landscaping our side yard was a definite adventure. We all pitched in, Tyler poured the concrete, I tiled the patio, Tayson dug holes for the plants, and Peyton fell in them. Thankfully it all worked out in the end and we have had a lot of fun roasting marshmallows and playing in the fountain.

Trick-or-Treating!!!

So for Halloween we decided to take the adventure Vegas-style. So we and our good friends headed to the District, a swanky shopping area in Henderson. Turns out thousands of others decided to do it also so fifteen minutes after arriving we departed. We went back to our neighborhood and tried out the good old fashioned way of trick or treating. It was so fun, the kids loved it, and their bags were full of candy. It was kind of nice to finish trick or treating being able to feel our feet, noses, and hands due to the fact they weren't numb from frostbite.

Busy Work Between Semesters!

Well, things down here are great! The boys and I have had Ty all to ourselves for two weeks now. We have been so busy finishing up with all our projects including our kitchen, side yard, and garage. I think we are pretty much finished up and it is a good thing because Ty's semester starts back up on Monday. We have been having so much fun, especially in our yard. We bought a table and Ty converted it to a natural gas fire pit. We have not stopped roasting our marshmallows yet. We love it and the boys are the cutest little campers roasting their mallows that you have ever seen. On occasion however, it has turned into more of a flame-throwing event which, as you can imagine, becomes problematic. All-in-all the boys are glad to be having fun in the yard and Ty and I are glad to be done working in the yard, so see, everybody's happy. We have met so many great people down here. We have some awesome friends and have met a lot of people from the ward, yes, even though we are in the nursery. But hey, I guess if that is where Heavenly Father wants me then that is where I should be. Anyways, we love our ward, we love our friends, and we love our house but we still miss you all back home. The boys and I are planning to visit towards the end of January so put us on your calendar. with love from the heps. (i will put up some pictures very soon...i promise.)

Fun at the Fall Festival...

This weekend our neighborhood had a fall festival. We had so much fun. Ty was studying so a friend and I went with the kids. They had a pumpkin patch, face painting, and an awesome ballon guy. They also had music, games, awesome food, and we had a BLAST. I entered the family-favorite pumpkin roll-up into the pumpkin cook-off and took first place. I won a digital camera. YEAH!!

They picked their pumpkin and decorated them themselves.

T got spider-crazy with the paint and balloons. He thought they were the coolest. We are still tending the spider trying to prolong its life.

Phoenix and Fun!

So the last few weeks have flown by. We have been working a little bit, but mostly just having fun. I have started working and it is crazy to say the least and Ty is just finishing up with his semester on Monday. This last weekend the fam went to Phoenix for Ty's dad's b-day, we had a lot of fun. While we were there we hung out with the fam and even got to go to a Phoenix Suns basketball game. It was awesome and we all had so much fun! The funny thing was when we were trying to find something for dinner before the game. We found this really fun-looking place called Cooperstown, it looked like a baseball restaurant. We went in and it turned out to be kind of sports bar place named after Alice Cooper (the little on the crazy side singer), all the waiters were dressed in black with the black tears painted on their faces. I am sure everyone was looking at us like who brings their kids to this place. The answer? Us. We stayed probably because we were a little freaked out for our lives but it turned out to be really good food and fun too. We are back at the ranch and are trying to finish up things here. The other day I went to work and left Ty home with the kids. Apparently they got bored and took a sawsall to my kitchen bar and then pieced the countertop back together. It was supposed to be a suprise, oh I was SUPRISED! The boys are doing great. P is practicing up on his walking and T just loves to play. At his friends house today they were playing "homework" in the backyard. Tayson said his homework was "learning about the body" and his friend was "learning about a skeleton". Only the kid of a PA student...

T is P's biggest fan, he walks him all over the house and then "gently" helps him to the floor when I am not looking. We are a work in progress. We call P Frankenstein after his walk.

P Walks!!

So Baby P is walking now! He takes a good 10 or 15 steps before reverting back to the ease of crawling but considering he is such a heavy-weight me and Ty are pretty excited about no longer having to carry him everywhere. We just love our little chubby bub!

Ty is well into school now, his first semester is almost over. He is doing really well, he works his tail off studying until all hours of the night and waking before dawn to hit the books. This weekend was the White Coat Ceremony. Ty was a babe in his white coat and I must say he struts his stuff pretty well. We are all so proud of him!!

We're Down Here!

Well we are no longer life-long Idahoans!!! September 18th we loaded our stuff into the UHaul and made our way to our new home... We made the trip in two days in order to maintain sanity on both the boys' behalf and my own. It wasn't too bad, Mom and Dad M came down and we had a fun time. The boys love their new house. T loves exploring and P just likes climbing on everything in sight. We have met some fun folks down here but for the most part are growing accustomed to not knowing anyone. We play at the park and in the pool by our house and are continuing to work to put our new place together. Well, back to work. We miss everyone back in Poky (and Blft, for all you Bingham Babes) and will be back to visit very soon. Love ya!!!
