Ahhhh! October!

Where did the summer go? All the sudden it's October, we are knee-deep in kindergarten, and about to add another little guy to the fam in 3 weeks. Time flies... This week finds Tyler back in the clutches of Touro University as he finishes up with his final testing. What an adventure it has been! I still remember applying for PA schools...we were unsure where we would be headed and where life would take us. Then we found out it would be Vegas! Though a little hesitant about leaving Poky, Idaho for Las Vegas...we sold our house and headed south. What we weren't expecting was to meet so many great friends down there! While we have been able to visit them a few times, I still think of all the awesome people there and miss them! Heavenly Father sure blessed our little family with an experience to remember and with friends we will never forget! Now PA school has had us in Idaho for about a year and as it comes to the end...graduation...life again has us up in the air...not knowing where we will be or what we will be doing. Funny how that happens. So on to the next I guess! We are so proud of Ty! The boys and I could not have chosen someone better! As for me, I am getting ready to have the new little guy in a few weeks and I am so excited! Both to have a new little guy to add to the fun of t and p and to NOT be pregnant! Being busy though helps the time go by...work has been good and busy...but I think I am getting a little anxious for a little time off. T is in kindergarten...he loves it! I am so grateful for him...he loves school, he is the best big brother and we couldn't love him more! His summer was filled with baseball and soccer and he loved both of them! He just loved having his dad for his soccer coach. P is growing up too. He tries to do everything T does and is such a rough and tumble kid! They are a couple of adventurous boys...they don't play on the swingset, they would prefer to climb to the top and dangle from the crossbar 6 feet off the ground. They don't slide down the slide...that would be silly! Instead they find tires in our neighbor's backyard to roll down the slide to each other! They have also both taken to their bikes and scooters, even P can ride a mean scooter and "pop wheelies"! P always has some sort of battle wound and T always has some pretty curious ideas...one of which was shoving a bead up his nose yesterday. Not really knowing what that was about...I called Ty en route to Vegas with his PA buddies. After discussing it, I pulled out a pair of forceps and pulled out the not so little bead. After it came out T said,"oh...that feels so much better!" Hopefully he learned his lesson! Well, all-in-all things up here are good... he boys are still a little crazy and Ty and I are a little more crazy! I need to go do a little damage control but we will keep you posted on the new little bub!!!! YEAH!

T LOVED playing tball this summer, his favorite position was pitcher!

Camping in Island Park with the fam! We fished, T learned to ride a motorcycle, and we had so much fun!

We just love 'em!!!

update!

t and p...the 2 amigos...the 2 musketeers...the 2 peas in a pod of their own. we just love them more and more every second! they are such amazing little boys and even though i feel like referree has been added to my list of titles...i couldn't have asked for better! t is so full of life, he loves to play, laugh, and has grown to be quite a little soccer and tball player. he is always looking out for not-so-little p who thinks for some reason he has to explore any adventure available. you would be hard-pressed to find a moment where p isn't wearing a glove, carrying around a rope, and looking for tools! p just can't wait to be as old as big bro t and get to play in a tball game of his own. ty is busy with rotations...only 3 more left. he is learning and loving it...but is very much so looking forward to graduation, as am i. as for me and the littlest tyke we are growing by the day. i am still staying pretty busy with work and can't wait for the big vacay...well maternity leave...to begin, working full time nights is proving to be rough on an old and aging pregnant chick! speaking of work...i am off to it. thanks to all of our friends and fam...we love you! Here are some pics of the last few months!

Fun in Vegas...gettin' beat by the boys in bowling!

p's get up for catching grounders off the bat of big bro t!

yes...late may and it is still too cold to run throught the sprinklers. dad's solution...running throught the sprinklers with garbage sacks, not getting wet, and not getting cold! dad's are so smart like that...leaving some to wonder, why didn't i think of that!?!?!?

zoo action...the boys LOVE their animals!

A NEW.........

Well so many fun and exciting things and yet so little being blogged about! Where to start? Ty is stil busy, busy, busy with his rotations...loving them while really looking forward to wrapping them up here in October. Yes, October is his last month of rotations before graduating as a PA. I am just so excited he will start working for money! I have been working quite a bit and playing at home with the boys. I just can't get enough of them! Oh...and baby #3, coming to earth in October and we can't wait. T is growing up...he learned how to ride his bike without training wheels in about 30 seconds last night. Ty took them off and T took off! P is still his witty little daring self. He is so funny, he loves his big bro, and continues to be a big snuggle-bug...which I LOVE! The weather is starting to SLOWLY warm up and become nice, so we are becoming a little more ok with ID. So...I must go but will blog again SOON!
P.S. We are missing all you southerners but are going to be seeing you soon!

new meal plan!

so t is now the big 5! we had his little birthday party and man...we just love him. so...being all big boy of him i guess he decided this morning to let mom sleep in and make him and p BREAKFAST all by himself. the menu for each of them 5 chocolate chips, 5 cheeto puffs, 5 skittles, and my favorite 5 kernals of microwave popcorn...all laid out in neat little piles. which leads me to ask...WHERE did you get the popcorn? about 5 minutes later he finishes showing me and telling me all about the other 5 bags that "just didn't want to pop" until he finally figured it out...the microwave that is. the lucky part...the house didn't burn down. i guess 5 is our lucky number.

Batton Down the Hatches!

Things here in Idaho are good! We are enjoying a LITTLE more time with Ty and are excited to be breaking into the new year. The boys have been busy growing! Ty and I can't believe how big they are getting. T is still loving preschool, has perfected the art of writing his name, and lovescoloring and playing with all his little friends. P is getting so big! He is a little jabberbox and just loves to play with big bro! Ty is busy with work (yah...we pay good money for him to be working!) but he is learning a lot and enjoying it! Ty and I are now teaching CTR 5 class in our ward and are loving all the cute little kids! I keep myself busy with work, the gym, the house, and my boys! Work is the same...more people having babies. The gym...body combat...my favorite! The house...never-ending battle. My boys...destructive...but adorable! All in all we are surviving the north and missing the south! Bye for now...but not for long.

Yet another adventure!!! A COLD ONE!!!

Brrrr..... I am freezing! We have officially moved north, impressed...not yet. The weather is seeming to be a bit trying with temps ranging from 25-45 degrees and SNOW! How I miss the LV sunshine!!! I feel as though I need to go into hibernation and batton down the hatches! For now we are waist deep in unpacking and settling into the new place. Besides the weather everything on this home-front is going well...just wish those boxes would unpack themselves!

Playin' in "the farrest"!!

Lately we were able to go with some friends to their cabin...TONS OF FUN! Erika and I had so much fun scrapbooking...totally productive...and the kids PLAYED! It was a blast. We started the fun making homeade pizzas then got to the playing. The kids loved playing in the dirt, T and H spent hours "smellin' the berries" on the junipers, and showering...then soaking...then soaping...then rinsing! T and H listened for coyotes...both terrified...still a topic of conversation occasionally. We saw deer, rabbits, and wild turkeys...suprisingly, no human-eating coyotes! It was so great to spend time with friends and to have so much fun! The guys joined us towards the end of the week, just in time for dress-up...aren't you so proud of your little boys, daddy!!!

down and dirty!

I have fallen in sagebrush...and I can't get out!

play hard...sleep hard!

First Day of School!!

My little T is getting so big. Last year we did a joy school with some friends so it wasn't ever like I was really sending him off to school...it's a little rougher than I thought it would be. I can't imagine next year when I might actually have to put him on a bus that wisks him off to school. What if he gets on the wrong bus...what if he doesn't find his class...what if, what if, what if...heaven help me. I guess I will have to drive him..I am for sure hoping to work out the worries by at least junior high...not sure though! He loves his new preschool! He has already learned so much including his "Where is Thumpster (Thumpkin)" and "Where is Piggy (Pinky)". T's version: Where is Thumpster? Where is Thumpster? Here I am... Her I am...How are you today sir...Very well I think...Runaway! Runaway! Not forgetting little P yelling in the backgroud trying to be big like his bro. P does have the "Runaway" down... We just love 'em!!!

Mt. Charleston Trip!

A few Sundays ago some friends and I thought it would be a blast to go up to Mt. Charleston...for some fun with friends and a break from the heat. We had so much fun....we hiked up to a waterfall and roasted some dogs and mallows...so yah, we roasted over charcoal...but give me a break we didn't want to burn down the forest. Call us green!

P's Birthday Party!!! The Big No. 2!!!

So I am a little on the late side with this but...like I said in my last post, we have done so many fun things lately I couldn't not put them on here. So one of our very favorite places here is the POOL! We swim almost every day and love to have friends over to swim too. It was the perfect place for little P's b-day bash. So...we made a couple of cupcake cakes and some homeade ice cream-both vanilla and coconut (my favorite)- and headed to the pool. It was so much fun, we swam, played with friends, and ate a lot of junk food...what could be better?!?!?! P and the whole fam had so much fun and we are so grateful to be friends with so many awesome people here!

Away with the curls!

So the curls have been outgrown...reached the end of their day...finished with. The last few days our cute little p has looked a little on the ragged side. I tried to do everything I could but the fact of the matter is that...we are done with the curls. They were cute...they were adorable...for sure a defining feature but our little rag muffin has transformed into a little man and...oh my goodness...is he CUTE!!

a long time...

i feel so ungrateful to not have posted for a while...we have done so many fun things! we have been to id and back several time...both by land and by air (unfortunately), we have both rented our house and found a new place up north, and we have been consumed by packing! the boys are getting big... t decorates all the moving boxes with his signature design which pretty much is just putting as much marker on the box as possible and p just loves to climb the boxes...not exactly the safest thing for the clumsy one...oh but we love him! this last trip to id my parents and i took the boys up to the fair! so fun! we tried out all the fair food, petted all the animals, and t even rode the BULL! he is definitly my big little boy now.

on a side note...yesterday a dream of mine, and every girl out there, was dashed... guess we won't be dancing on a log over a lake with patrick swayze, sad!

Kids...can't live with em', can't live without em'!

So today I hear a thud coming from downstairs...not thinking to much about it I continued my cleaning upstairs. After hearing another thud I decided to investigate. Once downstairs I see T trying to lift P up by a broomstick tucked between little P's legs. I asked, even though I should know better, what they were doing. T said they were just "playin' dressed up". Not thinking too much about it I went back upstairs. A few more thuds later, I decided to intervene. I went back downstairs and P was now up on a barstool they had pushed next to the couch. Looking a little dangerous I again asked what they were doing. P said "STOP" as in don't come any closer and T yet again said they were "playin' dressed-up". I asked what they were dressing up as and T said, "I am just helpin' P be a witch and fly." Oh yes my friends he was attempting to help the 1-year-old fly on a broomstick.

Besides flying on broomsticks, we have been having a lot of fun as a fam now that Ty isn't as busy in school. It is so nice to have him around a little more and the boys sure do love their daddy! I am still doing my little commute to work and Ty is still doing really well in school. The boys are awesome! T has become a swimmer this summer and we are so proud of him and his "doggles" (which he attributes his swimming success to). P is still full of energy and adventure. He is a little fish in the water...unfortunately he is one of those fish who sinks and prefers to do it unattended. He also has some little fetish lately on checking diapers on all those around him who might have one on. We had some friends over last week and he kept following their little girl around checking her diaper, pulling it down in the back. Then again in the airport playground I looked over and he was totally checking this little girl's diaper. Is this normal? OK, so I know it's not...but it's just P...he's crazy...but, oh my goodness, we love him!!!

Kids...can't live with em'...can't live without em'!

ROAD TRIP!!!

After a few fun-packed days with the cousins it was time to head back to Idaho. We loaded the Yukon until it could hold no more and set off for our great adventure. First stop...Idaho. Well, bathroom, then bathroom, then lunch, then bathroom, then Idaho. I mostly worked and the boys played at grandma's house chasing chickens and ducks, building forts, and being crazy! We also went to the zoo with the fam to check out the animals.

The back seat bunch! All strapped in with no where to go!!!
Cute little T!
Playful little P!

The cousin club at the zoo!
After about a week we loaded back up and officially started our vacation! Second stop...Arizona. We played with the family and had so much fun! The kids LOVED Grandpa Ronnie sand Grandma Jody's new swimming pool and T LOVED playing with "the guys". T loved showing off his moves and P was begging to get in the pool whenever he wasn't in it, constantly carrying his life jacket and tube. We celebrated the 4th of July with a barbecue and some small-town fireworks..the temp...not so sure...but unbareably hot. They kind of seemed like the fireworks without end. Sunday was great, more time with family and another lil' nephew being blessed. Monday we visited the Arizona Science Center...it was tons of fun. It was good to spend time with the fam and I even got a little brave and rode a bike on a tight rope. After that we went back to grandma's for some more swimming, homeade ice cream and fun with the fam!

T and I watching the fireworks, can you see it? That spot above T's head! Breathtaking...we know! Actually the fireworks were pretty good, it was the 105 degree-ish that half the family stayed inside to avoid.

T and cousins or "the guys" playing outside and watching the fireworks!
Lots of good food had by all!

P begging to go swimming!!!

Brandon and his life line...trying to fix the hole in the pool! Good ole brave Uncle Brandon!

T at the Science Center... making a plan. The more balls you throw into the nostril before it sneezes them out the better.

Wheelchair races...Ronnie vs. Ty...Haley vs. Nakeisha...

Quinn vs. T (and Ty)

Me...riding a bike...on a cable...at the Science Center.

After SO much fun in Arizona it was again time to pack our bags and find yet another adventure. Third stop...California! First we hit San Diego. We stayed at a really nice hotel downtown. It was an old hotel that they had totally redone. It was beautiful but apparently people back in the day didn't need as much space or had a lot less stuff because the rooms...tiny! Ty and I could not keep from laughing everytime we looked at each other. That night we headed to the ocean for a little dinner and fun. T and I chased the waves and P discovered he hates sand. The next day we went to Sea World. It was so much fun... The boys loved it. We got awesome seats for the Shamu Show. T loved it, P... I think, thought Shamu was going to eat him. After Shamu we visited the penguins, the sea lions, the dolphins, and the walrus. P was TERRIFIED of the walrus, he would swim right up to the glass where P was standing. I think P is used to being one of the bigger kids on the block, the walrus was MASSIVE. P stood down!

Lil' P was not into the whole sand thing...

After having so much fun in the ocean and having just gone from 105-110 deg in Arizona to 75 deg in San Diego...he was frozen. So we bundled him up for the ride back to the hotel.

Washing all the sand out...

Brothers...adorable!

Me and my lil' guys!

The WALRUS P thought was going to eat him!

We all loved Shamu!

After TOO much fun at Sea World we headed north to our hotel in Anaheim. We gave P anything he wanted to make him think staying in his car seat was an okay idea...including cell phones, battery chargers, and of course LICORICE...probably not the best idea. But he liked it!

Thursday we spent the whole day going back and forth between Disneyland and California Adventure. The favorite rides:
Ty: Soaring Over California
Haley: Soaring Over California & Toy Story
T: "flying"... Soaring Over California (barely met height requirement with his hat and tallest tennis shoes)
P: Pretty much anything BUT Pirates of the Carribean...little freakout!
Daddy and his boys...cruising through the jungle!

After a total melt down in Pirates of the Carribean...P was a little nervous and skeptical of the rest of the rides.
P's favorite part...the FOOD!

T getting all the bad guys in Toy Story!

The exhausted fam at the end of our Disney Day!

After riding all the rides we stuck around for the fireworks and the electical light parade. The parade was just as I remembered it from when I was a kid. After Disneyland both T and P fell asleep in the stroller on the way back to the hotel and Ty and I collapsed into bed shortly thereafter.

After so much fun it was time to go home. Friday we packed up and made the drive home.
We did a little shopping at the outlets on the way. Now we are home...back to the grind...back to school...back to play...back to normal. It is as fun to come back as it is to go! But WOW...what a fun vacation!!!!!!!!!!
